The client is a floral company creating a POS and business management system based on in-store experiences from around the country. With a combination of floral and technology experience, mission is to provide the leading edge, most comprehensive, user-friendly software in the Floral Industry.
Business Needs
Client wanted to improve the overall sales experience in the stores by easing the friction caused by traditional check-out process. Client was looking at ways to use technology to solve prevailing problems in the sales process.
01Discover
We conducted requirement workshops with the client users to understand the business objectives and problem areas that they intended to solve. One of the main problems was the poor customer engagement level while shopping in-store. During user research, we discovered that the store staff found it hard to serve the customers while answering their shopping questions as well as checking out due to lack of handy and real-time information about the products with the staff.
02Define
After brainstorming on several solution ideas, we decided upon a solution that enabled store staff to access product and customer information from anywhere within the store. The solution used tablets and smart phones to deliver the experience which can be carried along while assisting customers. The devices were integrated with mobile-pos which enabled instant check-outs without waiting in the line. This solution drastically improved both the customer experience and engagement levels.
